Planning an oripa site: stock, odds, shipping
Oripa is a format where customers draw from card packs the seller has put together. Because every prize is a physical card, managing inventory and card condition matters as much as the sales screen. Decide first how packs are composed and what you'll disclose to customers, and the features you need become clear.

1. Design pack makeup and remaining quantities together
Set the number of cards per tier in a pack and the total number for sale, and decide how remaining cards are shown as sales progress. A format that ends when a fixed quantity sells out and one that draws at the same odds every time differ in inventory and disclosed information, so state clearly which one applies to each product.
- Tiers, card list, and quantities per pack, plus total for sale
- Sales format: limited quantity or fixed odds
- How remaining quantities or odds appear on customer screens
- Whether to allow lineup changes during a sale, and change records
2. Manage physical card inventory and condition
If the site's inventory and the physical cards in storage don't match, you can end up with no card to give after a win. Record the tier and condition of each card, and link them so the card to be awarded is fixed at the moment of the win. Also decide whether to upload a photo of each actual card or use a representative image.
- Records of each card's tier, condition, and storage location
- How the awarded card is fixed at the moment of the win
- Who photographs and uploads the actual cards
- Stock count schedule and what to do when counts don't match
3. Decide on prize storage, shipping, and point exchange
Shipping cards one at a time makes shipping costs add up, so a common option is letting customers collect cards in prize storage and receive them all at once. If you offer a feature that converts unwanted cards into points, decide the exchange rate, where points can be used, and when they expire in advance.
- Storage period and combined shipping request rules
- Protective card packaging and the damage claim process
- Whether to offer point exchange, the rate, and expiry
- What can be canceled or exchanged before shipping
4. Decide what information to disclose to customers
Lineup, odds, remaining quantities, and recent win records are what customers base their purchase decisions on. Decide the scope of disclosure, and before launch, test that the information on screen matches the actual processing results. Matters that vary with your sales structure, such as product rights and labeling standards, should be confirmed by the operator with the relevant authorities and professionals.
- Where each product's lineup and odds or remaining quantities are shown
- What win records display, and masking personal information
- Pre-purchase notices and refund rules
- Testing that disclosed information matches actual draw results
